So I had my MRI today for my back. I've had one of those before, but for my head (yes, my brain isn't quite right).
This time around I was given ear phones and got to listen to some classic rock while the machine was pinging around like a jackhammer. No Zeppelin, but I did get some Styx. Life is good.
The results came back this afternoon. I apparently have some arthritis back there as well as some "disc disease" which is along the lines of bulging and compressed discs that are causing some pain.
Next course of action is to go in for an epidural.
After that . . . who knows. Maybe surgery is in my future a few years from now; maybe not. I'm hoping that the epidural will take care of the pain and I'll be cleared to work the upcoming football season. You know, because life has its priorities.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.

Boy! You got the results pretty quickly. An epidural will keep you upright and moving around for a while; my last one held for six months, which would get you past Christmas.
