Hospital

No . . . not me.

I got a call this morning from a hospital chaplain telling me there was a patient requesting a visit from a priest.

The short story is that, while in the hospital to take care of a hip injury, the doctor discovered that her cancer, which was thought to be in remission, had decided to become active and moved into her brain.

Lord have mercy.

Oh, how dreadful! Lord, have mercy, indeed.

So many of the drugs used to "cure" cancer can actually cause the disease, and secondary cancers are not uncommon. How's that for cheerful?
