And so it begins . . . (?)

I just had a very nice but confused (are you Reverend, Father, Priest or Rector?) elderly lady pay me a visit.

I politely tried to educate her on all of the above, but she wasn't too sure about it.  "Very confusing."

She wanted to know when services were, and if I gave sermons.

I gave her a card, told her services were at 8 & 10:30, with an adult education piece from 9:30 to 10:15.

She thanked me and then handed me a magazine opened up to a particular article with my name on it and a special note for me around the sidebar.

The magazine is afaJournal.

I'm betting she wasn't too thrilled with my letter to the editor, and that she probably wants to come by and hear for herself what kind of heresy I'm preaching on Sundays.

And she'll be invited to Communion, just like everybody else.

(He) drew a circle that shut me out:
Rebel, heretic, ‘thing’ to flout.
But Love and I had the wit to win:
We drew a circle that brought him ‘in.’

That's what I like most about TEC.
