Dammit

In my sermon two weeks ago, I said something the effect of, "We plan, God laughs."

God must be yucking it up big time right about now.

The plan was that St. Paul's would be painted the last two weeks of May, the floors would be refinished the first week of June, and the carpet would be laid the second week of June. That would be perfect timing so that everything would be finished just in time for our 1864 Service.

HOWEVER ........

The floors are being stubborn and it's looking like the floor guy won't be able to be finished until the middle of next week.

Which means that the carpet can't be laid until the week of July 14 because that's their next available opening.

Just .....

Dammit.

And I know that God isn't laughing. Probably wishing those former people had used a different finish . . . but not laughing.
