I have never actually seen a "wad of bills" before. I've seen cash folded, or stored away in a wallet, but never a wad of cash.
Until yesterday, that is.
I did a funeral for a guy who died of complications resulting from diabetes. His family are long time Ruby Valley residents, but most have since moved away. He and his wife are current residents of a small town in Washington.
His brother-in-law is apparently his size. The recent widow gave all of her husband's clothes to the b-i-l. Apparently the deceased had a habit of squirreling away cash and not telling anyone about it. The b-i-l found a wad of cash in one of the coat pockets.
The widow decided that she never knew it was there, was doing just fine without it, and wanted to donate it to the church. Not knowing how much she was talking about, because she never counted it, I told her I'd put it towards the discretionary fund; and that seemed to please her.
Let's just say that this wad was close to four digits left of the decimal point.
Not only that, but I delivered a great sermon yesterday.
It was a good day at the office.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.

Iit's something to see a "wad of cash" isn't it? Almost doesn't look real or something. I know that the carnies who order parts from us always pay with a wad of cash, no matter how expensive the product is. And once, when I worked in the office of a car dealership, two little Japanese men bought a car. with two paper grocery bags filled with wads of cash. It was so weird...
