Old, gray and bald . . .

Is how I described how I would look when all this was over.

Merge the congregations. Begin to establish a unified way of doing business. Change service times. When do we really, honestly and seriously begin the process of selling the old building? When do I consolidate my office into one? I need new business cards.

And on and on it goes.

One of the happiest days of my life was when I heard my young daughter climb out of bed in the middle of the night and go directly into the bathroom without coming in to tell me she had to go.

I'm thinking that the next time I will be that happy will be when I stop waking up at 4:30 a.m. with yet something else I need to figure out relating to the merger.

Yep . . . old, gray and bald . . . and tired. And the sad thing is, it's just beginning.

But you know what? All that aside, this is really the only thing that is running through my mind right now:

Everybody hang on. It's going to be interesting.
