Traditionally I do pretty good with my NCAA brackets at least up to the Sweet 16. Last year I had 15 out of 16, and in years past I've done almost as well.
Today, not so much.
UNLV, Georgetown, Vanderbilt, Florida, Marquette, Notre Dame and Richmond all lost. Which probably means that the teams I picked to win tomorrow -- Gonzaga, Xavier, Wofford, Louisville and Sienna -- will all lose.
It's probably a good thing I didn't plan on increasing the church's income by playing Vegas this year.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.

Every school as talent these days, So youur calls were not that bad. I believe Louisville is the only lock today.
I stole a car when I was a teenager. I know God forgives, but is there anyway you could ask for forgivness for me. This sounds crazy but is there any place in your service where you could ask for forgivness for me. I am 23 now.
No . . . the picks weren't that bad, I just picked wrong.
As to the other, I'm glad to hear you regret your previous actions and are looking for forgiveness. Yes, God does forgive us for past sins, especially when we confess those sins, truly desire a change and intend to lead a new life. And I can and will certainly pray for you. I would also suggest that you go and visit with a priest so that you may receive the benefit of absolution, counsel and advice. Chatting online is one thing, but there is no substitute for a real-life conversation.
God's peace be with you.
Yes, but I don't belong to any religion. My two friends do. So they have a human person to forgive them. This sounds crazzy but I want a clergyman to tell me I'm alright, eventhough no priest/pastor has told me that in public.
I am popular with others my age and the married couple who help me from head to toe. They know almost everything about me but the car thing.
You probably tkink I'm crazy but I need a clergy to tell me I'm alright.
I found you under football. My sport.
From the tone of your comments, it sounds like you are repentant of your past actions.
May God grant you forgiveness of your sins.
The question now is, "How will you learn from this experience to live a more honest and productive life?"
Thank you, I know you think I'm crazy but I need someone to tell me I'm alright. My "dad" and "mom" do everything to help me. I just couldn't tell them what I had done. I know they would still stand by me but I needed you to help me.
BTW we certainly can not pick basketball winners. Thank you for the expression of help.
