Family Camp

This week I'm doing the chaplain gig at our diocesan family camp. The theme for the week is Romans 8:31-39. So while the kidlets are off playing and being creative, the adults have some time for discussion around this passage.

Other than that, what does a family camp chaplain do? Well, in my case, he eats breakfast, presides at Eucharist, maybe works on a sermon for next Sunday, eats lunch, naps, eats dinner, leads an adult discussion, attends campfire and eats smores, and pulls a variety of things out of the ears of the munchkins. So far I've found rocks, sticks, hair bands and a cell phone. Today I might find more rocks, a baby pine cone or two, a gold star and maybe a bag of tea.

It's a rough gig, but somebody has to do it.
