Things are coming together.
The Letter of Agreement has been finalized between me and my new parish. It was less of a negotiation than it was a, "What do you mean by this? Explain that ..." So that all went fine. The final version will be sent to the bishop for approval, then my new Senior Warden and I will sign it and we'll be all official.
Housing has been taken care of. We were looking at the prospect of sending Mrs. Ref down to house hunt. As it turns out, I have new parishioners who, for health reasons, are moving to AZ for the year and they offered to rent us their place. That means that we don't have to search, we don't have to send Mrs. Ref on a last minute house hunt, and we have one less thing to stress over.
Things at the parishes are as wrapped up as I can get them at this point, or as wrapped up as people want them to be.
We're still waiting on the moving company to come by and give us an estimate for the move. Getting someone here has been about as frustrating as it was waiting for our stuff to arrive when we moved here in the first place. Moving companies apparently don't want to have to come to this part of the world.
But, all in all, things are looking up. Oh .... and did I mention we have a place to stay? That's way cool.
God is good.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.

Congratulations on your new call! Glad things are falling into place. Peace and blessings....Kathy
Felicidades. It sounds as if it all went along swimmingly!
Wow! That was fast! I don't know how long things were "in the works" from their end, but our search process took for-bloody-ever!
Thanks to everyone.
Kathy: Things are falling into place, and that's a good thing.
PM: It was great!
Lady Anne: Things were in the works for awhile. I think I first saw the parish profile back in late April or Early May; and here we are in November.
Hey, excellent. Lucky NEW parish.
