This is the biggest weekend in college football in my opinion.
Ohio State/Michigan; Pitt/West Virginia; USC/UCLA; Oregon/Oregon State; Washington/Washington State; Georgia/Georgia Tech; Auburn/Alabama.
All kinds of good games. Locally, everyone around here is looking forward to The Civil War between the Ducks and Beavers. I'm more interested in the Apple Cup between the Cougars and Huskies.
I am currently watching a much better-than-anticipated game between the Buckeyes and Wolverines. OSU is currently holding their own and it's been a back and forth game so far.
However, I am confused about one thing. This is the second Big Ten With Twelve Teams game I've watched this year and in both games the PA system was playing "Sweet Caroline" and everybody in the stadium was singing along.
What's the significance of that song? Did Neil Diamond attend a Big Ten When There Were Ten school? Did Caroline attend there? Inquiring minds need to know.

A Few Words About Comments
Comments are always welcome here, but there are a few things you should know:
1) If you comment, leave a name. If you can't figure out how to log in or register or whatever the system is making you do (which, believe me, I fully understand how frustrating that can be) and you must comment anonymously . . . leave a name in the comment section. Purely anonymous comments will be deleted.
2) Comments I deem to be offensive, irrelevant, or generally trollish will be deleted. I'm mainly talking to the Akurians here. Don't make me get out my flag!
3) If you would like to receive e-mail notification of other comments so you can more easily follow a conversation (yeah, like I ever have those on this blog), you must register with Blogger. Sorry . . . I didn't have anything to do with that one.
Enjoy the game.

You left out Purdue/IU, where the Boilermakers took it to the Hoosiers (in Bloomington, I might add) and brought the Old Oaken Bucket home to West Lafayette where it belongs. Without, to my knowledge, singing Neil Diamond at any time. I have no idea what that's about.
