Wow

And I mean, "Wow," in a good way.

On my news feed this morning, the Anglican Communion News Service is reporting that the Anglican Church of South Africa has appointed a woman to be bishop of Swaziland.  When consecrated, she will become the first woman bishop in any of the 12 Anglican provinces on the continent.

Congratulations to the ACSA who realize that there is no longer Jew or Greek, male or female, only one in Christ.

And prayers for them as well, since I'm sure the outcry from their dominating male brethren in other African provinces will be loud and ugly.
