Clergy Colloquy

My bishop tells us that there are basically three or four events that we are required to attend:  Clergy Conference (usually post-Easter), Diocesan Convention (late October, early November), and one or two other times that don't have specific names.

One of the things he has done is to have a general theme that is present in all events.  This year the general theme is Christian Education/Formation.  I think this is a good topic, as so many of us are generally simply "adequate" or "not proficient" when it comes to education/formation in the church.  More information is always helpful.

The first event is scheduled for a Friday/Saturday up in Salem (somewhat farther than the mid-point for me) in just about four weeks.

I'll let that sink in for a bit . . . .

Yep, the Holy Reverend Father in God has scheduled a weekend session with his clergy over Valentine's Day.

Maybe Mrs. Ref will send him roses.

Our Holy Reverend Father-in-God has scheduled a Diocesan Council meeting for that weekend. I sense a conspiracy in the House of Bishops.

First time comments will be moderated.
