Sermon thoughts

No . . . not thoughts about a sermon I'm working on, but thoughts about my sermons in general.

I received an e-mail from a long-time follower/blog acquaintance who is writing a piece for Lectionary Homiletics and found a sermon of mine from five years ago -- you read right, FIVE YEARS AGO -- and wants to have it published in this thing along with a commentary about it.

Or something like that.

She has better googlefu than I do, because I can't find that sermon.  So I asked her to send me a link just so I could re-read it and then officially tell her, "Sure, knock yourself out."

But it got me thinking . . . I've sort of slacked off on putting up my sermons.  I'm not exactly sure why that happened, but I should start doing that again.

So, after I get some things done around the office today, look for last week's sermon on marriage to be posted.  And, should you feel so inclined, you can thank Songbird for the kick in the pants.
