All Done

At the end of the season last year, I put away all my gear and said that there was a 99.8% chance that my season was done.  Shortly thereafter, I posted that the 0.2% chance happened and I got called to work a first round playoff game.  I had to turn that offer down because it was scheduled for the same day that my bishop was coming for his visitation.

This year I figured I had the same chance to be called to a playoff game.  So, in order to ensure that that wouldn't happen, I left all my gear out in a pile in the bedroom.  No use putting it all away if I was going to have to get back into it.

As expected, I did not receive that call.  So today, in between loads of laundry, I reorganized everything, cleaned all the last-game mud off the shoes, and put everything back in storage for another year.

Mrs. Ref is happy that I'm now home each night.  I'm happy that I had a good season.  But for now, I'm all done.

Bummer.
